More Silent Than More
This exceptional art was created by Bay Area artist Ray Beldner.
“It started as a small-scale collage using portions of iconic paintings from the Renaissance period. I play with their rich colors, shapes, and textures in order to release the latent energy in the original work and create new visually confounding compositions. I am often amazed at what results from the simple juxtaposition of unrelated forms. Collage allows me to recast these well-known artworks in a different light, questioning our understanding of them and their current relevance.” The end result: an engaging (five by fifteen foot) large-scale artwork.
